AIC-LMCP Foundation contributed in the " Capacity Building Program for Drug Regulators: A step towards continual learning" a training programme for Drug Regulators of FDCA, through deliberations on the proposed drug, medical Devices and Cosmetics bill 2022. The program was jointly organised by NIPER-Ahmedabad and NFSU.

A 5-day workshop on "Hands-on Training on sophisticated Analytical Instruments for Evaluation of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals" was conducted by AIC-LMCP with support received from L.M. College of Pharmacy, NIPER Ahmedabad and Vaibhav Analytical Services. Workshop aimed to prepare the students for Pharmaceutical Industrial practice and trained them efficiently to contribute qualitatively in the nation's pharmaceutical sector.

A Hands-on Training Program on Pre-clinical Drug Screening and Characterization of Pharmaceuticals was organized from 26th Sep. to 2nd Oct. 2022 under “Synergistic Training Program Utilizing the Scientific & Technological Infrastructure (STUTI)” – an initiative by Department of Science and Technology (DST), India. Mentor pool of AIC-LMCP Foundation interacted with STUTI delegates on 30-Sep-2022.

AIC-LMCP Foundation and LMCP jointly organized a 4-day session - “Training on Sophisticated Instruments” from 14-Mar-2022 to 17-Mar-2022 for students of M. Pharm. (Semester 4) and research scholars of LMCP. 30 students and researchers participated for the same. They were detailed regarding theoretical aspects, operation and principles of various sophisticated instruments present at AIC-LMCP and L. M. College of Pharmacy with practical demonstration. The experts for the training included Dr. Shrinivas Savale, CEO, AIC-LMCP Foundation; Dr. Kunjan Bodiwala, Dr. Mukesh Kher and Dr. Nisha Parikh, Assistant Professors, L. M. College of Pharmacy; Ms. Priyal Shah, AIC-LMCP Foundation Lab Consultant; Ms. Jinal Ajabiya, Lab Assistant, AIC-LMCP Foundation and Mr. Sksham Doshi, Repligene Lifescience LLP.

AIC-LMCP Foundation organized a 1 day “Demonstration/Training on Sophisticated Instruments” on 30-Dec-2021 for A-One Pharmacy College, Ahmedabad. Dr. Shrinivas Savale, CEO, AIC-LMCP Foundation briefed the students about the work flow of AIC-LMCP Foundation and briefed about the working of ALF. Dr. Nisha Parikh, Assistant Professor, L. M. College of Pharmacy; Ms. Priyal Shah, AIC-LMCP Foundation Lab Consultant and Ms. Jinal Ajabiya, Lab Assistant, AIC-LMCP Foundation demonstrated all the instruments at AIC-LMCP Foundation. The session ended with a question and answer, followed by felicitation of ALF team by A-one Pharmacy College. Total 30 students and faculties participated in the demonstration.

AIC-LMCP, LMCP and Intas Biopharmaceuticals launched a Certification Course on ‘Biopharmaceuticals: Product Lifecycle’ (90 h online and hands-on course) for the benefit of students and early-stage researchers to develop understanding and skills about the product lifecycle for biopharmaceuticals which is the future of therapeutic modalities and make the participants industry-ready. First batch of 30 students and early researchers will be the beneficiaries of this course.

AIC-LMCP and LMCP launched a certificate course on ‘Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance’. This course was aimed at training the students with an overview of the global regulatory environment in clinical safety and pharmacovigilance for all medical products (biopharmaceutical products, advanced therapies and medical devices), with a focus on pragmatic approaches to protecting patient safety. First batch of 13 students were the beneficiaries of this training.

Mr. Narendra Chauhan, Application Engineer, Cliantha conducted training on LC-MS/MS (API 3000). He imparted in depth operational knowledge about this technique covering theoretical and practical aspect (hands-on training to operate the instrument). About 30 students and staff got benefited from this training.

As a part of Faculty Development Programme, “Training on Sophisticated Instruments” was organized. This half day workshop included operational demonstration of sophisticated instruments - Lyophilizer, Dissolution Apparatus, Particle Size Analyzer and Stability Chamber. The trainer for the workshop were Mr. Anandakumar R. (ASM-Spinco Biotech Pvt. Ltd.) and Ms. Priyal Shah (Lab Technician - AIC-LMCP Foundation).

A one-day workshop was organized for hands-on training on ‘High Performance Liquid Chromatography with PDA Detector’ involving a detailed theory session followed by practical session to get in depth understanding of operating the instrument. Mr. Gunavat Yadav from Spinco Biotech conducted the workshop where 32 students and faculty participated.

AIC-LMCP Foundation organized a training session on SciFinder database (A Chemical Abstract Services solution, from American Chemical Society) for the researchers in the field of pharmaceuticals, healthcare and life sciences. This training session covered applicability of SciFinder database in scientific literature search including prior art search for intellectual property/patents. It also included ways to optimize the search and effective use of the 'search' information. The trainer was Mr. Vinit Kunte, the Application Specialist, ACS India.
